I’m Rosalind (after her in ‘As You Like It’). Friends call me Ros or Rosie. Call me either; I don’t mind.
I have an insatiable appetite to travel the world in search of new experiences. I love meeting people from different cultures & way of life. I’m a Londoner born & bred but relocated to Asturias in northern Spain almost three years ago with my partner, Paul. I spent 33 years in retail banking but have now turned to freelance writing.
How would I describe myself? Probably frivolous although I do have my serious side too. I love meeting people who know how to have fun but who are also interesting with something to say!!
I enjoy people who are fun & enjoy a laugh over a bottle of wine but who are also at home visiting art galleries or museums.
Interests? Anything & everything! My main interests include painting, card making, blogging, writing, reading, history, Egyptology, gardening, travel, camping, photography & penpalling. I love learning about new things too, even if they don’t become regular hobbies.
Music, movies & books; the list is long, almost endless! My taste is very dependent on my mood!
My favourite movies include ‘Gone with the Wind’, ‘Dirty Dancing’, ‘Shawshank Redemption’, ‘Colour Purple’, ‘Great Expectations’ (the John Mills version).................
Music – again anything & everything but faves include Elvis, Neil Diamond, Elton John, Queen, Bob Hinton & Ralph McTell.
Books by Dennis Wheatley, Danielle Steel, E V Thompson, La Vyrle Spencer, Martine Cole & Lynda LaPlante rank high on the list but my library contains books by a myriad of authors....... I can’t resist a bookshop especially if it’s a second hand one!!!!
